The Story
The 15-string, 8-course Renaissance Lute from the house of Thomann is sure to take you back in time to the Wandervogel countercultural movement, which was held in Germany in the first half of the 20th century. The body of the lute is constructed out of a combination of two wood varieties: Maple and lacewood. Maple imparts adequate strength to the overall construction, and lacewood lends vintage tones to this modern-day lute. The spruce top offers an optimally high fundamental-to-overtone ratio. The wooden tuning pegs help you make accurate adjustments to achieve the perfect intonation.
